With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richie Cagigal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beto Sola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos da Costa in the 36th minute of the match. With a little luck, FCSB CUENCA's Beto Sola got control of the ball when Lucho Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Spiros Bekyros hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, FCSB CUENCA's Davide Giacomozzi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richie Cagigal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FCSB CUENCA reached it. After the first half FCSB CUENCA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Spiros Bekyros was the one to do the kick off. Beto Sola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucho Aguiar in the 50th minute of the match. 52 minutes into the game, FCSB CUENCA's Marcio Carreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richie Cagigal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Real de Carmelo 2021 FC made a substitution. Vincent Tordesillas replaced Arias Coz. Richie Cagigal made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Sanches in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucho Aguiar in the 59th minute of play forced FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Beto Sola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CUENCA's zone, Lucho Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Sola came out of the goal and Lucho Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Heinze hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Richie Cagigal was a little too slow when João Francisco Sanches got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Richie Cagigal came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by FCSB CUENCA's Spiros Bekyros. But to his dismay, Spiros Bekyros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spiros Bekyros in the 80th minute of play forced Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's goalkeeper Richie Cagigal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Olivar came free, but Richie Cagigal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, FCSB CUENCA's goal looked a bit too open when Lucho Aguiar came free, but Beto Sola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Real de Carmelo 2021 FC's Lucho Aguiar in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Real de Carmelo 2021 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larry Estoyanoff didn't get a good kick on the ball.
