Raymundo Carilao was slow to take the kick. During this time Ornitorrincos F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Raymundo Carilao got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Berenguer Tolosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, FCSB CUENCA's Berenguer Tolosa got control of the ball when Raymundo Carilao tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute Marcio Carreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Pysz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes Ornitorrincos F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Dracena who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Samuel Dracena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustaw Pysz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Ornitorrincos F.C. booed when FCSB CUENCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Americo Olivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaw Pysz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Francisco Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalkeeper Gustaw Pysz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's João Francisco Sanches got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Raymundo Carilao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Berenguer Tolosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Davide Giacomozzi hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Gabino Calvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes FCSB CUENCA got a freekick which was hit by Americo Olivar. 87 minutes into the match, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcio Carreira came free, but Gustaw Pysz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berenguer Tolosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Carilao, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the FCSB CUENCA defense, Raymundo Carilao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berenguer Tolosa. The FCSB CUENCA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berenguer Tolosa should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ornitorrincos F.C. had played much better football throughout.
