Marcos Paut was slow to take the kick. During this time Ornitorrincos F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Ornitorrincos F.C. were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Real Murçia FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Paut took the corner. The corner ended in Duardo Pruniel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Murçia FC's José Carlos Castro did a great save. César Bertrand made an important save on a dangerous shot by He Xu in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Fiori came free, but César Bertrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Carlos Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duardo Pruniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duardo Pruniels short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got José Carlos Castro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Real Murçia FC had won, even though Ornitorrincos F.C. had held more of the ball.
