The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when Los Gallos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casimiro Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Osoitz in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Los Gallos's Fernando Osoitz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Casimiro Erramun. Casimiro Erramun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 20 played minutes Los Gallos got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Vidal. La Gallardeta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Fernando Osoitz scored to the left of an out of position Casimiro Erramun, making the score, 2-0. Casimiro Erramun was a little too slow when Fernando Osoitz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 3-0. After 34 minutes, Carmelo Jeraldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gallardeta and the Los Gallos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Jeraldo. Casimiro Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Raebert in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes La Gallardeta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elpidio Raebert who took care of the corner kick. After 38 played minutes Los Gallos got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Montxo. Primitivo Chago struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Casimiro Erramun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. In the 43rd match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Naelio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Fernando Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Gallos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Osoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casimiro Erramun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, Fernando Osoitz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of La Gallardeta's Casimiro Erramun. Casimiro Erramun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Felipe Flores made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to La Gallardeta getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Marcos Madeo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Eulalio Francesco got a free kick in the 58th minute. Guido Luar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Madeo in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Fernando Osoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Erramun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
