In the 35th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zorko Quack was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Taribo West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zorko Quack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Taribo West was the one to do the kick off. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taribo West in the 52nd minute of play. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albeiro Usuriaga in the 53rd minute of play. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Oihenarte in the 75th minute of the match. A beautiful save bye ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute of the match Isótopos V.M. got a corner. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Taribo West ran over to the corner to take the kick. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Branislav Velchevski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Isótopos V.M. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
