Attilio Casciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belchior Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Jan-Olof Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belchior Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Attilio Casciano in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Leheren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Enzo Nuñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Tingelholm in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, La Gallardeta's Fulgencio Gartzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Leheren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Attilio Casciano came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Talleres de Escalada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Attilio Casciano couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Attilio Casciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belchior Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Casciano in the 66th minute of the match.
