When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Magnus Bengtsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Periklis Theofilou to make any attempt to save it. Ulf Gadd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktoras Kleftokotakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktoras Kleftokotakis succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. A collision led to Αστέρας Δερβενίου getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Zacharias Papakrivas hit a great ball. Ulf Gadd came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Viktoras Kleftokotakis. But to his dismay, Viktoras Kleftokotakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 39th minute, Sven-Ove Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Wiman hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Periklis Theofilou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Tholsson in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magnus Bengtsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Koulis Rapanos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Gadd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st match minute, Frogner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Wållander to maneuver through the defense. Viktoras Kleftokotakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Ulf Gadd when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Viktoras Kleftokotakis in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulf Gadd, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ulf Gadd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koulis Rapanos in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Frogner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Haglund to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Frogner's zone, Stathis Baloukos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Gadd came out of the goal and Stathis Baloukos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Frogner's Ulf Gadd got control of the ball when Viktoras Kleftokotakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frogner's Ulf Gadd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Frogner from getting a goal against them. The Αστέρας Δερβενίου fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Viktoras Kleftokotakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ulrik Wållander kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ulf Gadd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stathis Baloukos in the 93rd minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Savas Lazaris got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ulf Gadd quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Periklis Theofilou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Haglund in the 96th minute of play. The Frogner manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Αστέρας Δερβενίου to win.
