Periklis Theofilou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Broman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Periklis Theofilou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douglas Källberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. If Abbe Alvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Johnny Broman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Periklis Theofilou. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johnny Broman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Joel Bollström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Periklis Theofilou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Zacharias Papakrivas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Αστέρας Δερβενίου and the Åhus Absolut F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zacharias Papakrivas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Johnny Broman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Periklis Theofilou made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktoras Kleftokotakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Periklis Theofilou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Broman in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Joel Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Periklis Theofilou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, Åhus Absolut F.C's Johnny Broman made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Periklis Theofilou was left in no man's land by his defense there! 65 minutes into the match, Douglas Källberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Periklis Theofilou. Stathis Baloukos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl-Axel Jakobsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Stathis Baloukos slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute Joel Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Periklis Theofilou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 96 minutes into the game, when Sten Skott put in a rough tackle. Sten Skott kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Viktoras Kleftokotakis struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Karl-Axel Jakobsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Αστέρας Δερβενίου. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Åhus Absolut F.C had played much better football throughout.
