The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Stathis Baloukos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silviu Miron kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Cazimir Curteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stathis Baloukos in the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, one of Αστέρας Δερβενίου:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Periklis Theofilou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugurel Magheru went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Eric Arghirescu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Koulis Rapanos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Spyros Boulis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Spyros Boulis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Αστέρας Δερβενίου protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Spyros Boulis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 23 minutes into the game, one of Αστέρας Δερβενίου:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Simared -MM- a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mugurel Magheru, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Periklis Theofilou. 2-0. Tiberiu Huștea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Periklis Theofilou when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Periklis Theofilou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Magheru in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Αστέρας Δερβενίου's zone, Silviu Miron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Periklis Theofilou came out of the goal and Silviu Miron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mugurel Magheru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Periklis Theofilou made a huge save. A hard shot 41 in the game by Tiberiu Huștea from a close distance when the talented Periklis Theofilou managed to make a qualified save. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's players were relieved. 43 minutes into the match, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Magheru came free, but Periklis Theofilou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viktoras Kleftokotakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Fivos Diamantopoulos got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nicodim Codrea hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Simared -MM-'s Mugurel Magheru got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simared -MM-'s Ernest Enoaia was substituted for Mugurel Magheru. In the 68thth minute of the game Ernest Enoaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Periklis Theofilou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicodim Codrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Periklis Theofilou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simared -MM-'s Ivan Stolniceanu was substituted for Eric Arghirescu. Periklis Theofilou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Enoaia in the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Simared -MM- booed when Αστέρας Δερβενίου was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fivos Diamantopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Periklis Theofilou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktoras Kleftokotakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cazimir Curteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matei Humă in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Periklis Theofilou saved Αστέρας Δερβενίου from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Simared -MM- had played much better football throughout.
