Hilario Cai made in the 5th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leo Chesus immediately put the ball in play. In the 6th minute Ilie Hurmuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Francho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Hurmuz in the 7th minute of play. Cayetano Francho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ilie Hurmuz went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Prospero Petri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Elpidio Amor made a huge save. The supporters of Timo! booed when Patay Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Cai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timo!'s Elpidio Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Ledesma in the 20th minute of play. When Ilie Hurmuz came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Timo! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilie Hurmuz couldn't finish the play. Cayetano Francho came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Timo!'s Ilie Hurmuz. But to his dismay, Ilie Hurmuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Florentino Egoi's late challenge caught a Timo!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florentino Egoi helped the player get up and apologised. Cayetano Francho went to the wrong direction when Ergo Are was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 35th minute Prospero Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Ilie Hurmuz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Timo! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Edgard Ledesmas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Elpidio Amor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Timo!'s Dževad Kasimović got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florentino Egoi kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Ergo Are took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cayetano Francho. Patay Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prospero Petri to strike the kick off in the second half. Elpidio Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Ceferino Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Hurmuz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Francho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After 78 minutes Patay Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ergo Are who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ergo Are got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cayetano Francho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute Prospero Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes Patay Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Egoi.
