Patay Juniors's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 13 minutes into the match, Kaj Skager notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho. Cayetano Francho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute, Kaj Skager ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Francho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Raymond in the 21st minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Dochko Rodev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Skager in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Club Atletico Los Andes were awarded a corner. Tomáš Lamačka went to the cornerflag to take it. Kaj Skager scored 3-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Francho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mauro Raymond scored 3-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dochko Rodev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cayetano Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Skager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dochko Rodev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Ledesma in the 39th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Club Atletico Los Andes's Cayetano Francho threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kaj Skager, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Patay Juniors getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Leandro Astigar hit a great ball. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Skager in the 43rd minute of play. Cayetano Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Skager, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Skager in the 44th minute of play. Norberto Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Patay Juniors's zone, Kaj Skager stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Francho came out of the goal and Kaj Skager tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kaj Skager made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaj Skager in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Francho saved Patay Juniors from getting behind. A collision led to Club Atletico Los Andes getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Abel Krorby hit a great ball. Jonas Marcos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Skager in the 70th minute of the match. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Loreto in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Kaj Skager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Francho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
