Wlodzimierz Ruszkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Kurtuluş Erdursun made a huge save. Stelios Koutsokefalakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Ostargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 45th minute Wojciech Kowalczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurtuluş Erdursun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Leandro Ostargi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Tzirakis in the 50th minute of the match.
