Emil Duset made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Antoni Cupial sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sundborn IF getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Felix Arenstedt hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Abrahamsson in the 24th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Kryspin Wyrostek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börje Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Duset didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Lampa went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Börje Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundborn IF. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Sundborn IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Newcastle United:s goal. The goalkeeper, Emil Duset, was totally fooled by Newcastle United's Wlodzimierz Sokolski, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 45 minutes into the match, Roy Abrahamsson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Newcastle United's Kryspin Wyrostek. Kryspin Wyrostek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Remigiusz Bronkala made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Börje Åkesson took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Kryspin Wyrostek to make any attempt to save it. Sundborn IF's Börje Åkesson got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Duset took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigiusz Bronkala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Duset made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Cupial in the 66th minute of play. Roy Abrahamssons short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Kryspin Wyrostek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sundborn IF's Emil Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Cupial in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Antoni Cupial made a precise shot to the right of Emil Duset. Sundborn IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After 77 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Cupial. Börje Åkesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wlodzimierz Sokolski hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Mohamed Salah replaced Roy Abrahamsson. In the 81st match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wlodzimierz Sokolski to maneuver through the defense. Kryspin Wyrostek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohamed Salah in the 82nd minute. Sundborn IF's Emil Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Newcastle United's Kryspin Wyrostek got control of the ball when Kristoffer Wallin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Lech Wierzbicki got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Mohamed Salah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Wyrostek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Sundborn IF's Börje Åkesson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sundborn IF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
