After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Ilie Enceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ostroveni's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilie Enceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Seide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th match minute, FC Ostroveni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Şteţ to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Hanganu charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Hanganu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Ostroveni getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Adrian Hanganu hit a great ball. Mădălin Focșa made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Panait Ipătescu immediately put the ball in play. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ferdinand Vasilescu, made in the 24th minute of the game. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Buricea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Rodney Emmanuel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilie Enceanu in the 28th minute. Noel Seide was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilie Enceanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. After 46 minutes, Șerban Şteţ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ostroveni and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Șerban Şteţ kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Haiti's Eric Pricop threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathan Alphonse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Ostroveni's Eric Pricop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ostroveni from getting a goal against them. Luca Buricea might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Seide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Buricea ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd match minute, FC Ostroveni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Buricea to maneuver through the defense. If Luca Buricea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97thth minute of the game Luca Buricea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haiti's Noel Seide was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Ostroveni fans cheered their team off the field, for while Haiti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
