After 59 played minutes mahşer got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Quirino. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Quirino came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Cebula in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Olle Hammarström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alişan Müftüoğlu hit a great ball. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
