Dedê Freire hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Futbol Club RRFV getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dedê Freire hit a great ball. With a little luck, Futbol Club RRFV's Diamantino Senna got control of the ball when Ian Coe tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fausto Vimaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vince Bannatyne was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When Barry Reading fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crystal Phallus's protests and gave Barry Reading a yellow card for diving instead. Barry Reading kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ian Coe took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Senna. Diamantino Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 34th minute Fausto Vimaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Bannatyne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crystal Phallus's Vince Bannatyne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 34th minute of play. Vince Bannatyne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Sanches in the 36th minute of play. Futbol Club RRFV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcel Hoffmann in the 38th minute. The corner ended in Marcel Hoffmann almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Crystal Phallus's Vince Bannatyne did a great save. When Futbol Club RRFV's Fausto Vimaro in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crystal Phallus's goalie prevented a goal. When Fausto Vimaro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Futbol Club RRFV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Vimaro couldn't finish the play. After 44th play minutes Samuel Souza shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Vince Bannatyne and just under the crossbar into goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Coe to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Samuel Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vince Bannatyne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Noel Bush fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Senna having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Fausto Vimaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vince Bannatyne made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Samuel Souza sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crystal Phallus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcel Hoffmann was slow to take the kick. During this time Futbol Club RRFV's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Crystal Phallus's goalie and right to Dida da Cunha. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Crystal Phallus's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Samuel Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Coe's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Fausto Vimaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futbol Club RRFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Vimaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Bannatyne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Crystal Phallus's Alfie Heath got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Leonel Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futbol Club RRFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Bannatyne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Samuel Souza came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Futbol Club RRFV fans jumped to their feet. Barry Reading hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Vince Bannatyne made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Samuel Souza sent off a good shot on target. Vince Bannatyne acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from André Luís Martins. Fausto Vimaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Bannatyne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Vimaro ran back to his position shaking his head. The Crystal Phallus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Futbol Club RRFV's performance. The match ended with a win for Futbol Club RRFV.
