After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Cao Yi managed to get in a good position for a shot. DINAMO PLOIESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Cao Yi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Manny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brown de Adrogue's Gavino Manny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Dragan in the 8th minute of play. Gavino Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Dragan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Manny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cao Yi in the 10th minute of play. Gavino Manny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cao Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The referee gave DINAMO PLOIESTI a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cornel Pantelimon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brown de Adrogue's Gavino Manny. 0-2. In the 47th match minute, DINAMO PLOIESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walery Roman to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Alibert in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Manny prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of DINAMO PLOIESTI booed when Brown de Adrogue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Castel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cao Yi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gavino Manny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute Cao Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Manny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Brown de Adrogue's Gavino Manny got control of the ball when Claudiu Dragan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 minutes of play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Claudiu Dragan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Manny was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gavino Manny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudiu Dragan in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Alibert got free with Gavino Manny in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The DINAMO PLOIESTI fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when DINAMO PLOIESTI's Claudiu Dragan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes, Victor Bidari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brown de Adrogue and the DINAMO PLOIESTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute Cao Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Manny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DINAMO PLOIESTI eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
