In the 16th minute Tomas Peeters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksel Canfeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Peeters came free, but Göksel Canfeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göksel Canfeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octave De Coster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göksel Canfeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Peeters, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Tomas Peeters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeronimo Elivareo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Patric Bierhoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Canor was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the last second Arnoldo Canor throw himself and got hold of the ball when Patric Bierhoff in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. AC ALDO BONZI's Arnoldo Canor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save AC ALDO BONZI from getting a goal against them. Arnoldo Canor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patric Bierhoff's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. A collision led to istanbulls getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Fatih Maradona hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as istanbulls's Alp Enginalp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnoldo Canor. That made the score 1-0 after 44 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patric Bierhoff was the one to do the kick off. Alp Enginalp took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnoldo Canor. Arnoldo Canor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Göksel Canfeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego York in the 95th minute of the match. istanbulls's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
