It was a well-played corner which Turgut Şimşektürk managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 8 played minutes Crystal Phallus got a freekick which was hit by Reg Hampton. Ian Coe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Janusz Wielowiejski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. Clonmels Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Wielowiejski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Noel Bush came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Crystal Phallus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Bush couldn't finish the play. Crystal Phallus's Donny Rowell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Crystal Phallus from getting a goal against them. Noel Bush sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donny Rowell made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Arévalo Miñaca sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, F. C. Clonmels Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Bush came free, but Andrea Sabatini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Donny Rowell threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartlomiej Olejarz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. F. C. Clonmels Devils's Andrea Sabatini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Clifton in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 played minutes Crystal Phallus got a freekick which was hit by Reg Hampton. 47 minutes into the game, one of Crystal Phallus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Janusz Wielowiejski made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Byshovets in the 55th minute of play forced F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Andrea Sabatini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Noel Bush hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Janusz Wielowiejski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Dubiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Crystal Phallus's Frazer Llewellyn got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Janusz Wielowiejski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Rowell having to interfere. Hieronim Niemojewski scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donny Rowell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Crystal Phallus's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crystal Phallus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Damian Dubiel was slow to take the kick. During this time F. C. Clonmels Devils's players had a chance to rest. Donny Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Wielowiejski, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After taking down the ball on F. C. Clonmels Devils's corner Damian Dubiel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Donny Rowell quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janusz Wielowiejski in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donny Rowell saved Crystal Phallus from getting behind. Janusz Wielowiejski might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donny Rowell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janusz Wielowiejski ran back to his position shaking his head. Donny Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartlomiej Olejarz, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Donny Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Wielowiejski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F. C. Clonmels Devils fans cheered their team off the field, for while Crystal Phallus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
