Nàstic de Tarragona's Sixto Fraco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meriç Özsen in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Friedrich Nietzsche in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With a little luck, AKÇEŞMESPOR's Cláudio Taffarel got control of the ball when Chico Vidales tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cláudio Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Chico Vidales sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berto Monta during the 46th minute.
