C.A.Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kenneth Frisk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Olov Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heigo Luiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerry Kullgren was slow to take the kick. During this time AIF's players had a chance to rest. Jerry Kullgren made a great header on AIF's corner, it was just that C.A.Independiente's Buford Lim managed to reach the ball for a save. AIF's Olov Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of AIF booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Bosioc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Heigo Luiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIF's Olov Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, AIF's goalkeeper Olov Linquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Misaki. Tom Misaki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olov Linquist came out and tried to block the shot, but Tom Misaki slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 37th minute. Olov Linquist was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Heigo Luiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Heigo Luiga really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Edgar Fransson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Heigo Luiga made the kick off in the second half. Olov Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Misaki in the 51st minute of play. Tom Misaki scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Linquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tom Misaki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olov Linquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Olov Linquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Misaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Kullgren couldn't finish the play. Olov Linquist didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.A.Independiente's Tom Misaki shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 74th minute C.A.Independiente were awarded a corner. Bernardino Gonsalve went to the cornerflag to take it.
