Valentim Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Buford Lim made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Misaki came free, but Amadeo Roma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Rodriguez's Amadeo Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Aguirre in the 20th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Buford Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tom Misaki came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the C.A.Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Misaki couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Rodriguez's Amadeo Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 25th minute of play. Amadeo Roma came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga. But to his dismay, Heigo Luiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Harman got free with Buford Lim in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 33rd minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Amadeo Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Bernardino Gonsalve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aguirre in the 40th minute of play. Amadeo Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Misaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 45 minutes into the game, C.A.Independiente's Tom Misaki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Roma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heigo Luiga was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Pedro Azulay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buford Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Aguirre took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Buford Lim. Buford Lim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Aguirre came free, but Buford Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Heigo Luiga came free, but Amadeo Roma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Deportivo Rodriguez's Diego Latorre was substituted for Valentim Leão. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Øyvind Rovik got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
