Tahir Pınarbaşı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tao Yu Qing. ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Meriç Özsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tao Yu Qing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's Tao Yu Qing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meriç Özsen in the 22nd minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's Evaristo Tinoco. But to his dismay, Evaristo Tinoco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's attentive Gabriel Quadros managed to snatch the ball when Charlie Frisk made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. Tao Yu Qing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meriç Özsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Meriç Özsen to strike the kick off in the second half. 67 minutes into the game, Friedrich Nietzsche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Tao Yu Qing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AKÇEŞMESPOR made a substitution. Mehmet Hakkı Suhan replaced Meriç Özsen. If Akşemseddin Uysal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cláudio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akşemseddin Uysal in the 72nd minute of play. Tao Yu Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Suhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Friedrich Nietzsche in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tao Yu Qing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Akşemseddin Uysal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Cláudio Taffarel made a huge save. Leo Salomon made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Deivid De Souza however managed to control. ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
