Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Alberto de Sousa started the match with the kick off. Arthur Saba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Miguel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. If Luís Guilherme Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Miguel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16thth minute of the game Per Rolandsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futbol Club RRFV's Fernando Miguel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Arthur Saba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Miguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Saba, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Zé Paulo Esteves hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Rolandsson in the 22nd minute of play forced Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Fernando Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Yavuz Bülent Özger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 26 minutes of play, Average Joes's Yavuz Bülent Özger made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Miguel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 29 minutes, Yavuz Bülent Özger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Average Joes and the Futbol Club RRFV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Yavuz Bülent Özger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Miguel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Askestät in the 36th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Arthur Saba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Average Joes's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Saba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Miguel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Rolandsson in the 42nd minute of play forced Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Fernando Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pål Askestät recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Diamantino Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Average Joes's Per Rolandsson in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Futbol Club RRFV's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Average Joes's Nils-Emil Gulliksson was substituted for Lukas Bäckman. The wind increased when Per Rolandsson made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Futbol Club RRFV's zone, Per Rolandsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Miguel came out of the goal and Per Rolandsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noel Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Average Joes booed when Futbol Club RRFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Miguel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kasper Bodin. After 58 played minutes Futbol Club RRFV got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Baptista. With a little luck, Futbol Club RRFV's Fernando Miguel got control of the ball when Kasper Bodin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Per Rolandsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Miguel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per Rolandsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Guilherme Mesquita hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Saba got free with Fernando Miguel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Pål Askestät who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Fernando Miguel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 76 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Per Rolandsson. Average Joes made a substitution. Jeremias Silban replaced Per Rolandsson. The supporters of Futbol Club RRFV booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Rolandsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Futbol Club RRFV's Fernando Miguel got control of the ball when Jo Blanchaert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Average Joes's corner Kasper Bodin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fernando Miguel quite easily take care of the ball. Arthur Saba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Fernando Miguel made a huge save. 88 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goalkeeper Fernando Miguel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jo Blanchaert. Evaristo Cruz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Futbol Club RRFV's zone, Yavuz Bülent Özger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Miguel came out of the goal and Yavuz Bülent Özger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Silban came free, but Fernando Miguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Average Joes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Futbol Club RRFV throughout the match.
