The corner led ≡≡ SOMOS ARGENTINA ≡≡'s Exequiel Zeballos to fire away a dangerous shot which Iker Carabajal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Philippe-Arnaud Bourguignon was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, one of Purple Talents:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Korhan Türkol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Iker Carabajal made a huge save. Purple Talents's Iker Carabajal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Purple Talents from getting a goal against them. Purple Talents's Qiu Feng Guo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fre De Beer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Purple Talents's Fre De Beer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dave Cole in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qiu Feng Guo was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Fre De Beer could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Dave Cole however easily saved by the left post. Angelino Cristofor's late challenge caught a Purple Talents's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Cristofor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Fre De Beer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ≡≡ SOMOS ARGENTINA ≡≡'s goalkeeper Dave Cole, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iker Carabajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Exequiel Zeballos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Cole showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiu Feng Guo in the 68th minute of the match. Iker Carabajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korhan Türkol, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Dave Cole made an important save on a dangerous shot by Qiu Feng Guo in the 74th minute. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when ≡≡ SOMOS ARGENTINA ≡≡ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Echeverri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Purple Talents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Qiu Feng Guo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Dave Cole made a huge save.
