After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Murat Yavuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's supporters rose to their feet, but Murat Yavuz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergus Fairbairn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 4 minutes into the game, Alptuğ Rahim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fergus Fairbairn. Alptuğ Rahim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Gaffar Özer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Songur Karataş received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fergus Fairbairn came out and tried to block the shot, but Songur Karataş slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Rangers FC from getting a goal against them. Alptuğ Rahim took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 26th minute, Murat Yavuz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 33 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Songur Karataş. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymond Johnston stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's zone, Raymond Johnston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vahap Tezcan came out of the goal and Raymond Johnston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Erhan Gagauz got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gaffar Özer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fergus Fairbairn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Raymond Johnston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Tezcan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cihan Geylani scored 8-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fergus Fairbairn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 77 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Connor Alsop. The supporters of ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü booed when Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan McIver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fergus Fairbairn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alptuğ Rahim in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rangers FC's zone, Songur Karataş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal and Songur Karataş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Alptuğ Rahim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fergus Fairbairn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. After a rather tough play, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Alptuğ Rahim got a free kick in the 90th minute. Raymond Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Vahap Tezcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Sporran. After recieving a nice pass, ÇATALHÖYÜK Gençlik Klübü's Gürsel Çelenkoğlu tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
