In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Felix Ghee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, istanbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saruhan Eker to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Aluncai took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hüsrev Can. Hüsrev Can dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. istanbulls's Hüsrev Can played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Aluncai in the 24th minute of play. Sandu Negara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hüsrev Can tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. istanbulls's Hüsrev Can played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Aluncai in the 28th minute of play. Manuel Aluncai took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hüsrev Can. Hüsrev Can dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 33rd minute Mircea Creangă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüsrev Can saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. istanbulls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Mircea Creangă scored to the left of an out of position Hüsrev Can, making the score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haydar Özdinç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Battal Cüneyt Zahir kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Mircea Creangă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. İsmail Hakkı Mahşer was slow to take the kick. During this time istanbulls's players had a chance to rest. Sandu Negara's late challenge caught a istanbulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandu Negara helped the player get up and apologised. Sandu Negara kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Hüsrev Can showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Creangă in the 90th minute of the match. İsmail Hakkı Mahşer kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
