Shi Feng Yun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romão Mourato, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Romão Mourato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Romão Mourato came free, but Shi Feng Yun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Romão Mourato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roneros F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Romão Mourato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Romão Mourato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Shi Feng Yun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shi Feng Yun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvinho Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romão Mourato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shi Feng Yun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Romão Mourato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shi Feng Yun. São Wilson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romão Mourato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Shi Feng Yun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romão Mourato in the 23rd minute of play. Roneros F.C. were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after São Wilson's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cordero Aberasturi took the corner. The corner ended in Cordero Aberasturi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun did a great save. Cordero Aberasturi was slow to take the kick. During this time Roneros F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Ricardo Ceberiche came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by São Wilson's Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jaume Vasquez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Paulinho MacLaren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ricardo Ceberiche made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Piedrahita came free, but Shi Feng Yun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Washington Piedrahita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shi Feng Yun. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Shi Feng Yun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romão Mourato showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 54 minute of play. São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save São Wilson from getting a goal against them. Roneros F.C.'s Jiang Sha was substituted for Washington Piedrahita. Roneros F.C. made a substitution. Witomir Jestrimski replaced Pontus Picado. With a little luck, São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun got control of the ball when Romão Mourato tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Shi Feng Yun managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Roneros F.C.'s Witomir Jestrimski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shi Feng Yun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jiang Sha in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Romão Mourato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Feng Yun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shi Feng Yun was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Witomir Jestrimski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Witomir Jestrimski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. São Wilson's Gonçalo Reis was substituted for Jörg Michael. São Wilson made a substitution. Fausto Jayvier replaced Enrique Garcia. São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Viera in the 79th minute of play. Jiang Sha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shi Feng Yun having to make a save. In the 82nd minute of the match, Jiang Sha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Shi Feng Yun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witomir Jestrimski got free with Shi Feng Yun in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, Witomir Jestrimski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roneros F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. In the 94th minute, Witomir Jestrimski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Shi Feng Yun. The goal made the score 1-8. The Roneros F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Roneros F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
