In the 18th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilton Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Capibaribe Stars's Wilton Fontes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adilson de Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Ramos in the 21st minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Mané Heidemann. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Sousa in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson de Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano got control of the ball when Filip Felenak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Felenak got free with Thomás Toscano in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Red Dragon FC - DMZ defense, Hicham Al Azka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adilson de Amorim. The Red Dragon FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adilson de Amorim should have stopped the shot. Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adilson de Amorim having to make a save. Mané Heidemann hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Red Dragon FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Adilson de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Sousa. Adilson de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Sousa in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Ramos in the 72nd minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Daniel Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Dragon FC - DMZ's Adilson de Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes Red Dragon FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Mané Heidemann. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capibaribe Stars eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
