Justino Stanislao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deivid De Souza in the 25th minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind AKÇEŞMESPOR's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Suipacha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tahir Pınarbaşı came free, but Justino Stanislao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Dibala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid De Souza in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justino Stanislao saved Suipacha FC from getting behind. In the 58th match minute, AKÇEŞMESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berto Monta to maneuver through the defense. Deivid De Souza scored 3-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justino Stanislao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Suipacha FC's Pablo Zabaleta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pablo Zabaleta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Suipacha FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pablo Zabaleta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. AKÇEŞMESPOR's Mehmet Hakkı Suhan was substituted for Meriç Özsen. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Suipacha FC!
