But to his dismay, Meriç Özsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 27 minutes, Deivid De Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AKÇEŞMESPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deivid De Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Lore in the 38th minute of play forced AKÇEŞMESPOR's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When AKÇEŞMESPOR's Meriç Özsen in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
