Olavi Liib came out of the goal and Ilie Hurmuz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valder Gausbo in the 5th minute of play forced Timo!'s goalkeeper Elpidio Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalin Haldan's goalkeeper Olavi Liib, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catalin Haldan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Franco Benvenuto was slow to take the kick. During this time Timo!'s players had a chance to rest. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Benvenuto in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Romo came free, but Elpidio Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalin Haldan's goalkeeper Olavi Liib, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th match minute, Catalin Haldan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Covrig to maneuver through the defense. Franco Benvenuto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Olavi Liib made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Ilie Hurmuz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olavi Liib. Ilie Hurmuz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ilie Hurmuz struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Olavi Liib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timo!. Elpidio Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Živko Dabović in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Franco Benvenuto made a precise shot to the right of Olavi Liib. Catalin Haldan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Elpidio Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valder Gausbo in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Timo!'s Franco Benvenuto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olavi Liib narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Timo! booed when Catalin Haldan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Fințescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Valder Gausbo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catalin Haldan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timo! the free kick. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Franco Benvenuto took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Olavi Liib to make any attempt to save it. Olavi Liib came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Timo!'s Ilie Hurmuz. But to his dismay, Ilie Hurmuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Benvenuto to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Timo!'s goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Fințescu came free, but Elpidio Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Benvenuto in the 54th minute of play. Franco Benvenuto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavi Liib read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Timo!'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Franco Benvenuto in the 64th minute. Olavi Liib came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Timo!'s Ilie Hurmuz. But to his dismay, Ilie Hurmuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Timo!'s Alexandr Lunin was substituted for Tadeusz Merski. Olavi Liib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandr Lunin in the 73rd minute of the match. Elpidio Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Alexandr Lunin put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Olavi Liib. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandr Lunin in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavi Liib saved Catalin Haldan from getting behind. Timo! were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Catalin Haldan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Franco Benvenuto took the corner. Olavi Liib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandr Lunin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandr Lunin in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavi Liib prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The Timo! fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Timo!'s Izydor Karbowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 95thth minute of the game Alexandr Lunin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catalin Haldan's Olavi Liib was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th minute Timo! were awarded a corner. Franco Benvenuto went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Timo! had won after a very even match.
