Horacio Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Constantino Peter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cura del Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Peter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the C.A Vientos Huracanados defense, Marcial Stephen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Ibar. The C.A Vientos Huracanados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Ibar should have stopped the shot. When Eusebio Cai came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cura del Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Cai couldn't finish the play. Horacio Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Peter in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Aristides Federigo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's Constantino Peter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horacio Ibar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Horacio Ibar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Bartolome showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 67 minute of play.
