Evelio Gines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Escocia's Baltasar Elazar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Gustavo Barreto. That made the score 1-1 after 13 minutes of play. The supporters of EC Fragata booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Inocente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Gines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Valladares in the 17th minute of play. Evelio Gines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Gustavo Barreto made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Marcos Beturian sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Dé Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Gines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Gines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Baldomero Inocente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Luís Gustavo Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Laras short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Evelio Gines to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Natalio Oliveiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. Sydney Quirino struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Evelio Gines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Fragata. In the 82nd minute, Marcus Valladares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Evelio Gines successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Evelio Gines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Prado. In the 89th match minute, Club Atlético Escocia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Inocente to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Beturian in the 91st minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. EC Fragata's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
