In the 5th minute, Riverzone's Evelio Paul dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 10 minutes, Evelio Paul mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riverzone and the Club Atlético Escocia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Riverzone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Paul didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Federico Gattoni fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riverzone's protests and gave Federico Gattoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Federico Gattoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Lucas Quinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Lazcano in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Riverzone's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Quinto was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Escocia's players had a chance to rest. Jeremias Ledesma came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Escocia's Enrique Astrada. But to his dismay, Enrique Astrada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Riverzone! The referee gave Club Atlético Escocia a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lucas Quinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma. 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, Riverzone's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Astrada came free, but Jeremias Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jeremias Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Facundo Nahas scored 1-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Ledesma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Astrada in the 47th minute of play forced Riverzone's goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Inocencio Maurin made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Enrique Astrada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Facundo Nahas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Ledesma having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Enrique Astrada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Aurelio Resto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Aquiles Lazcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Astrada hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Facundo Nahas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Ledesma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 72 in the game by Facundo Nahas from a close distance when the talented Jeremias Ledesma managed to make a qualified save. Riverzone's players were relieved. Jeremias Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Astrada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Paul in the 82nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Delmiro Iztal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Astrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma got control of the ball when Facundo Nahas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Riverzone from getting a goal against them. When Enrique Astrada was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th match minute, Club Atlético Escocia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Astrada to maneuver through the defense.
