In the 2nd match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Dias to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Enio Moraes. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Enio Moraes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Melchor Estefan's late challenge caught a GLADIADORES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Estefan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Tobias Quirze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eurico Arantes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Francesco went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. GLADIADORES were furious when Enio Moraes was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 42nd minute, Enio Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Yaji FC's Melchor Estefan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eurico Arantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Gervasio Faro made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th match minute, Yaji FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Danel to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the GLADIADORES defense, Prospero Francesco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Arantes. The GLADIADORES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Arantes should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Prospero Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yaji FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Francesco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prospero Francesco took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Arantes. Eurico Arantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Eurico Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Quirze in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the game, Gervasio Faro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Eurico Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Veiga in the 84th minute of play forced Yaji FC's goalkeeper Candido Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Nunez Danel put in a rough tackle. In the 85th minute, one of Yaji FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yaji FC. Candido Gudesteo had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Flavinho Brodel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Oscar Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Valdir Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the GLADIADORES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Sergipano couldn't finish the play. When Flavinho Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GLADIADORES's protests and gave Flavinho Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. Flavinho Brodel hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
