Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Lara to make the kick off. Alfred Podowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Dalmo Freire made a huge save. Fc Pawonków's Czeslaw Jaroszewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Quirino in the 76th minute of play. Remo Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remo Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 77 minutes play.
