EC Fragata's Dalmo Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Ivasiuc in the 12th minute of play. Iacob Martinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Freire having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Dragoş Ivasiuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Quirino's late challenge caught a BVB 09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Sydney Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Dragoş Ivasiuc made a precise shot to the right of Dalmo Freire. EC Fragata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in EC Fragata's zone, Dragoş Ivasiuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Freire came out of the goal and Dragoş Ivasiuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The BVB 09 fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when BVB 09's Dragoş Ivasiuc looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Filip Mirciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Teles in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, BVB 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Balcan to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Filip Mirciulescu managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when EC Fragata's Dé Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Dragoş Ivasiuc came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the BVB 09 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dragoş Ivasiuc couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the game, Dé Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Fragata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BVB 09 the free kick. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when EC Fragata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute, EC Fragata's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marian Morovan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 54 minutes, Adrianinho Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Fragata and the BVB 09 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, EC Fragata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Dragoş Ivasiuc took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dalmo Freire to make any attempt to save it. Dalmo Freire didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valeriu Blaj went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Dragoş Ivasiuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dragoş Ivasiuc got free with Dalmo Freire in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dudu Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Dalmo Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Ivasiuc in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, EC Fragata's Luís Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Mirciulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Dalmo Freire was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Dragoş Ivasiuc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dragoş Ivasiuc really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. The EC Fragata supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching BVB 09's performance. The match ended with a win for BVB 09.
