When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Frédson Melo sped through ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tao Yu Qing. After 26 played minutes Evaristo Tinoco rounded Catalin Haldan's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The audience was convinced that Evaristo Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavi Liib was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 46th minute Evaristo Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavi Liib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frédson Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tao Yu Qing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tao Yu Qing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Melo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Tinoco in the 53rd minute of play. Olavi Liib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Tinoco in the 55th minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Catalin Haldan got a freekick which was hit by Radu Covrig. Radu Covrig kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Catalin Haldan's Marin Petre got a free kick in the 59th minute. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Loyola in the 60th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Akşemseddin Uysal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavi Liib was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Catalin Haldan's goal looked a bit too open when Akşemseddin Uysal came free, but Olavi Liib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Catalin Haldan defense, Akşemseddin Uysal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavi Liib. The Catalin Haldan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavi Liib should have stopped the shot. Tadeu Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavi Liib having to interfere. Olavi Liib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akşemseddin Uysal in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Catalin Haldan's Valder Gausbo got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the game, Akşemseddin Uysal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Olavi Liib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radu Covrig kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Olavi Liib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akşemseddin Uysal, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Akşemseddin Uysal might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olavi Liib. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Akşemseddin Uysal ran back to his position shaking his head.
