After a rather tough play, Los Galacticos's Lu Hong got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, one of A. Korn:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A. Korn. Los Galacticos's Liu Zhou Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Almedia in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, A. After a defensive mix-up in A. Korn's zone, Pablo Aimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Batalla came out of the goal and Pablo Aimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A. Korn's Augusto Batalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save A. Korn from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 75 in the game by Sture Hellbom from a close distance when the talented Augusto Batalla managed to make a qualified save. A. Korn's players were relieved. Pablo Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
