The coaching staff of Los Galacticos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edwardo McDermott had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Galacticos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! 14 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Sima came free, but Liu Zhou Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Pantelimon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Los Galacticos's Liu Zhou Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Dragan in the 22nd minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Alibert came free, but Liu Zhou Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liu Zhou Feng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Alibert in the 33rd minute of play. Denis Alibert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Dragan was the one to do the kick off. Marcos-Evangelista Didarov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sture Hellbom in the 52nd minute. 52 minutes into the match, DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Marcos-Evangelista Didarov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sture Hellbom. 57 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Alibert came free, but Liu Zhou Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Aimar made a great header on Los Galacticos's corner, it was just that DINAMO PLOIESTI's Marcos-Evangelista Didarov managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lu Hong during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 minutes of play, DINAMO PLOIESTI's Claudiu Dragan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liu Zhou Feng was left in no man's land by his defense there! Los Galacticos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
