The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Wiktor Anselius sped through Newcastle United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Kråk in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kryspin Wyrostek saved Newcastle United from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Kråk came free, but Kryspin Wyrostek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Jim Kråk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. Newcastle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Kråk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Arvin Stålman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BK Ugglan's Patrik Fagrell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save BK Ugglan from getting a goal against them. Kryspin Wyrostek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arvin Stålman, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Patrik Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wlodzimierz Sokolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Fagrell having to interfere. With a little luck, BK Ugglan's Patrik Fagrell got control of the ball when Remigiusz Bronkala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiktor Anselius was the one to do the kick off. After 60 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Borucki. Newcastle United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Douglas Fogel 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Antoni Cupial scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrik Fagrell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrik Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Cupial, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanek Rakowski in the 76th minute of play forced BK Ugglan's goalkeeper Patrik Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arvin Stålman got free with Kryspin Wyrostek in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arvin Stålman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Kryspin Wyrostek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, BK Ugglan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urban Wennerlund to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded BK Ugglan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newcastle United.
