Newcastle United were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Yaji FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wlodzimierz Sokolski took the corner. The corner led Newcastle United's Wlodzimierz Sokolski to fire away a dangerous shot which Yao Guang Chao despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 19 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Lixandro. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mikolaj Winszman hit a great ball. Kryspin Wyrostek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Blasi's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Yao Guang Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoni Cupial in the 28th minute of play forced Yaji FC's goalkeeper Yao Guang Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Christobal got free with Kryspin Wyrostek in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Lixandro. The throw-in from Justino Lehoi in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Newcastle United's Edward Lampa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Blasi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kryspin Wyrostek saved Newcastle United from getting behind. Yaji FC's Yao Guang Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 39th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Kryspin Ziemba made a precise shot to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. Newcastle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kryspin Ziemba to make the kick off. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newcastle United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
