Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rose Pigs the free kick. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Remigiusz Bronkala hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Arkadiusz Rojewski took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Harry Melander to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th minute, Ingemar Hård got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harry Melander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arkadiusz Rojewski in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lech Wierzbicki got free with Harry Melander in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Rose Pigs's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Cupial came free, but Harry Melander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Melander was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Tanek Rakowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tanek Rakowski really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The Newcastle United fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Newcastle United's Antoni Cupial looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 32 minutes of play, Rose Pigs's Sten Lindgren made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kryspin Wyrostek was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, Kurt Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Wlodzimierz Sokolski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harry Melander, 4-1. Harry Melander was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Wlodzimierz Sokolski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wlodzimierz Sokolski really showed his touch with that goal: 6-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

But to his dismay, Arkadiusz Rojewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Harry Melander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Cupial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Remigiusz Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rose Pigs defense, Antoni Cupial kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harry Melander. The Rose Pigs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harry Melander should have stopped the shot. After 74 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Lech Wierzbicki. Wlodzimierz Sokolski took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harry Melander. Harry Melander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigiusz Bronkala in the 81st minute of play forced Rose Pigs's goalkeeper Harry Melander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Michael Påk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kryspin Wyrostek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Påk in the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Newcastle United were the better team. Newcastle United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
