The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Ververs got free with Ronald Ellehauge in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kang Han Zhen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
