The referee ignored AFK Petržalka's protests and gave Doru Baldu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Doru Baldu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nahitantino's Israel Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Krstović in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Nahitantino getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Celedonio Oto hit a great ball. When AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Kolkhis Papadakos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 26 minutes Nahitantino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomáš Rigo who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Miroslav Čorej heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 28thth minute of the game Nikola Krstović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nahitantino's Israel Vergaray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Kolkhis Papadakos got control of the ball when Anselmo Mateo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Nahitantino's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Sjöö came free, but Israel Vergaray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kent Sjöö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Israel Vergaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kolkhis Papadakos made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Evelio Gar sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Mateo was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Nikola Krstović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Israel Vergaray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Israel Vergaray came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović. But to his dismay, Nikola Krstović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Krstović in the 62nd minute of play forced Nahitantino's goalkeeper Israel Vergaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Nahitantino's Celedonio Oto got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikola Krstović got free with Israel Vergaray in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Nahitantino's Israel Vergaray got control of the ball when Nikola Krstović tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute, Evelio Gar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nahitantino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 78 minutes into the game, Octavio Estavan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nahitantino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. AFK Petržalka's Kolkhis Papadakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Jorrin in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Doru Baldu got a free kick in the 91st minute.
