Leonard Backlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikola Krstović's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. With his leg Leonard Backlund managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nikola Krstović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute of the match, Nikola Krstović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonard Backlund saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 37th play minutes Nikola Krstović shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Leonard Backlund and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rosendahl Flyers's zone, Nikola Krstović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Backlund came out of the goal and Nikola Krstović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute, Nikola Krstović made a precise shot to the right of Leonard Backlund. Rosendahl Flyers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 55th minute, Nikola Krstović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Backlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Björn Eliasson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Krstović in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Backlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The AFK Petržalka fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The supporters of Rosendahl Flyers booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alek Justus didn't get a good kick on the ball. When AFK Petržalka's Sasho Amiorkov in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosendahl Flyers's goalie prevented a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Per-Arne Galle put in a rough tackle. In the 83rd minute, one of Rosendahl Flyers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rosendahl Flyers. Leonard Backlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the AFK Petržalka players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
