The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Melquiades Rosalio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leonard Backlund. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Rosendahl Flyers's zone, Melquiades Rosalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Backlund came out of the goal and Melquiades Rosalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Melquiades Rosalio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leonard Backlund. Cleto Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute Melquiades Rosalio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Backlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Rosalio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Leonard Backlund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Rosendahl Flyers getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Per-Arne Galle hit a great ball. Valter Blom charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valter Blom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Rosendahl Flyers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Blom to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Luzaide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rosendahl Flyers's zone, Cristian Abadia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Backlund came out of the goal and Cristian Abadia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Melquiades Rosalio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonard Backlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Leonard Backlund made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Melquiades Rosalio sent off a good shot on target. Bertil Dalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Hernandez having to interfere. Saturnino Montay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melquiades Rosalio in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Backlund saved Rosendahl Flyers from getting behind. After some careless play in the Rosendahl Flyers defense, Melquiades Rosalio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Backlund. The Rosendahl Flyers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Backlund should have stopped the shot. Melquiades Rosalio took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonard Backlund. Leonard Backlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Leonard Backlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Rosalio in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Melquiades Rosalio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Leonard Backlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonard Backlund didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cura del Futbol's Cleto Santikurtz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After a rather tough play, Rosendahl Flyers's Bertil Dalman got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Rosalio in the 82nd minute of play forced Rosendahl Flyers's goalkeeper Leonard Backlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rosendahl Flyers defense, Ramon Luzaide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Backlund. The Rosendahl Flyers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Backlund should have stopped the shot. Melquiades Rosalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Leonard Backlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Melquiades Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cura del Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Rosalio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleto Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience held their breath when Faustino Cordaryal in the 98th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Leonard Backlund's left hand side. There was no doubt that Cura del Futbol were the better team. Cura del Futbol's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
