After 2 played minutes Riverzone got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Paul. Rolf Henriksson scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Ledesma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Lex Dewolf notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bajen's Arne Emander. Arne Emander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Riverzone's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Hafström came free, but Jeremias Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jeremias Ledesma managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Bajen's Rolf Henriksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arne Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Kempes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bajen defense, Mario Kempes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Emander. The Bajen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Emander should have stopped the shot. David Ahlroth kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Lex Dewolf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riverzone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 35th match minute, Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Ledesma made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Rolf Henriksson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Bajen booed when Riverzone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Txema didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Gilbert Waller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bajen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riverzone the free kick. A collision led to Bajen getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gilbert Waller hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Lex Dewolf came free, but Arne Emander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rodrigo Transito's late challenge caught a Bajen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Transito helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Riverzone getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rodrigo Transito hit a great ball. After 57 minutes of play Riverzone's Rodrigo Transito was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rodrigo Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Bajen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Mario Kempes scored to the left of an out of position Arne Emander, making the score, 1-4. After 67 played minutes Riverzone got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Paul. 73 minutes into the game, Bajen's Sebastian Hafström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Ledesma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After 79 minutes Bajen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Camilo Escobar who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Riverzone's corner Camilo Escobar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arne Emander quite easily take care of the ball. Riverzone's Jeremias Ledesma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Hafström in the 82nd minute of play. Jeremias Ledesma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolf Henriksson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Riverzone's Epifanio Txema nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arne Emander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Mario Kempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Emander having to interfere. Riverzone played a much better game than Bajen and deserved their victory. The Bajen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
