With an all-out effort, Brutal DeLuxe's Mustafa Hamit Kutlu threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reine Gudmundsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Pål Hjeltman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 12 minutes into the match, Trabzon's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Kutlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pål Hjeltman. Trabzon's Jo Adler got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes, Yu Wen Chao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trabzon and the Brutal DeLuxe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trabzon! The referee gave Brutal DeLuxe a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kim Deckbergh, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trabzon's Mustafa Hamit Kutlu. 1-0. Nils Lindkvist made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pål Hjeltman immediately put the ball in play. Kevin Kalfhage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fodil Otman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Gudmundsson came free, but Mustafa Hamit Kutlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pål Hjeltman got free with Mustafa Hamit Kutlu in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Reine Gudmundsson sped through Trabzon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mustafa Hamit Kutlu. In the 47th minute Fodil Otman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Kalfhage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fodil Otman made a kick off. Mustafa Hamit Kutlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pål Hjeltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Trabzon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brutal DeLuxe.
